What makeup products do you use?

I use a variety of professional makeup brands, which, among others, include: MAC, Inglot, Gorgeous Cosmetics, Face Atelier, Cinema Secrets, The Balm, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Mecca, Too Faced, Cover FX, Zoeva, Hourglass and Kryolan.

Will my makeup last all day?

Whilst I do my best to make sure your makeup will last throughout the event by using high quality products and setting sprays, you can also help extend your makeups longevity by trying not to touch your face with your hands. If you are prone to oily skin, or if it is a particularly hot day, I recommend investing in a translucent powder and/or blotting paper to keep your face shine free. I also recommend bringing your own lipstick or lip-gloss so that you can reapply throughout the day/night as lipstick will fade, especially if you are to be eating and drinking.

Do you recommend a trial?

Whilst trials are not compulsory, I do recommend them for brides. A trial gives us the opportunity to not only get to know each other, but to work out exactly what colours compliment your face, how heavy or light you like your makeup and what makeup will suit your skin type. It also gives as an opportunity to have a general chat about how things will run on the day, such as start and finish times, working with the hair stylist and photographer, and location etc.

How long does it take to get my makeup applied?

I allow around 1 hour per person.

Do I charge less for the mother of the bride?

No, I charge the same for everyone. This is because I put the same amount of care and effort into each client.

Should I get my hair or makeup done first?

Generally, I recommend having your hair styled prior to makeup, however it is far from the end of the world if this can't happen. If I am working alongside a hairstylist, we will rotate through the bridal party, leaving the bride to last or second last.

Can I get eye makeup applied only?

You can however you will still be charged for a full face.

Do you only do wedding makeup?

No. I do makeup for events, birthdays, as well as photoshoots for brands, businesses, magazines, model portfolios and corporate headshots.

What makeup training have you had?

I completed my Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services in 2009 and like to keep up to date with industry trends by attending makeup masterclasses and workshops.

Is my makeup booking fee refundable?

Booking fees are required to secure your booking. These are non refundable less than 3 months before booking date. Cancellations 3 months or more prior to the wedding/event date will be entitled to a full refund of the booking fee. For more details, please see the Terms and Conditions.

Do you take Eftpos?

Unfortunately, I do not accept Eftpos. Payment can be made via bank transfer 2weeks before the booking date.
